Online Lessons

Kyle now offers guitar lessons via Skype or Google Hangouts. Each lesson is custom tailored to the student’s needs, learning style, and goals. Kyle has been studying guitar for nearly 30 years and has developed a high level of fluency in rock, jazz, country, & blues styles. His teaching methods vary from learning how to strum along to your favorite song to in-depth musical theory and intense technical training.

What do you need?

All you need to qualify for online lessons is a guitar (electric or acoustic), high speed internet, and a good enough camera and microphone so Kyle can see and hear what you’re doing. Most often, your own laptop or tablet will have suitable equipment built in. Smartphones would be the last option due to how small the screen would be for you.

How much does it cost? How often are lessons?

Each hour-long lesson costs $40 and is due at the end of every lesson. Ideally students should have a lesson once every week. There is also an option for having occasional “troubleshooting” lessons. Keep a list of things you’d like to work on and just set up a one-time lesson. Troubleshooting lessons are especially ideal for adult students who might not have the time to sit down every week for a lesson.

How do I pay? What about refunds?

Right now Kyle accepts PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo for online payments. Kyle always makes sure his students are satisfied with the lesson. This is why payment is expected at the end of each one. If any technical problems occur that prevents the lesson from taking place within a reasonable amount of time, no payment is necessary. If for some reason you feel like you need a refund after you pay, please bring it to Kyle’s attention immediately.
