I'm so excited to share this with you! My complete transcription of Briggs' Banjo Instructor is available now! I transcribed all 56 instrumental solos from the original 1855 book. This was the world's first banjo tutor and I've included a transcription of the instructional material as well. This is the first time this banjo book has ever been presented in tablature. I've also cleaned up the language in it so none of the titles should have any offensive words now.
There's also a separate edition with all 56 tunes arranged for ukulele. It's all free! This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
